2016 The Shilly Shally Chenin Blanc

2016 The Shilly Shally Chenin Blanc

86% barrel aged Chenin Blanc,
14% Chenin Blanc 100% Estate grown, Geographe

After heavy crop thinning fruit was picked ripe and following fermentation in stainless steel was transferred to seasoned French oak barriques. Prior to bottling an unwooded chenin blanc component was blended to add vibrancy and freshness. Oak adds toasty honeycomb notes and a creamy mouth feel which adds to the complexity of the fresh fruit characteristics of this varietal wine. Complexity will be gained by this elegant wine on cellaring.
